QIGONG FOR RELAXATION
In this guided session we practiced the basic body alignments and mindfulness of qigong, an ancient technique for becoming aware of the body's natural energy ("qi") to release tension and stress, promote general health, and relax into one's inner being. Qigong practices have been used for centuries in China -- and now throughout the world -- for meditation, developing martial arts skill (tai chi), and treating illness.
ART FOR THE SOUL
Making things with our hands can be relaxing and rewarding. In this session we will use watercolors to create images that feed the soul. No art experience is necessary: emphasis is on the calming process of focusing and creativity in a guided and supportive group setting.
ANTHONY GAP HIKE
Lechuguilla Hiking Friends and Connect El Paso joined together on Saturday, March 20 for a moderately difficult hike at Anthony's Gap in the north portion of the Franklin Mountains.
